Castle Lodge stands in the grounds of Shire Hall, adjacent to the Castle Mound and its gardens.

Cambridgeshire Register Office will be relocated to another city location in June 2021.  The new location is the subject of a planning application.  We regret that we cannot accept bookings from June - December 2021 until the application has been finalised.  Details of the current application can be found at::

The Keats Room is in Lawrence Court, an 18th century building opening directly into a small garden area.

The Tennyson Room is within the Cambridgeshire Archives building. It opens directly into an outside space purpose-designed for photographs.

The Wordsworth Room

March Library and Learning Centre, City Road, March PE15 9LT

The Wordsworth Room is in March’s library, with a designated area where guests can gather before the ceremony. It is adjacent to the River Nene and green open spaces.

  • Disabled access and parking

  • Free car park, and close to bus routes including to March railway station

  • Maximum 70 guests
